Job Description
**Job Title:** Medicare Health Risk Evaluation Physician (Independent Contractor) **Role Summary:** Physicians provide in‑home Health Risk Evaluations (HREs) for Medicare Advantage members. Each assessment includes a detailed medical history and basic physical exam. Work is performed on a flexible, pre‑scheduled basis across the United States, with compensation per assessment and weekly earnings ranging from $3,500 to $5,500. **Expactations:** - Complete 5‑10 HREs per day (≈35‑55 per week) on a full schedule. - Maintain accurate, timely documentation for each assessment. - Adhere to scheduled appointment windows (8 am–8 pm, Mon‑Sun). - Follow all clinical, privacy (HIPAA), and billing protocols. - Communicate effectively with patients and the coordinating team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct detailed medical histories and basic physical examinations in patients’ homes. - Record findings in the designated electronic system and submit completed HRE reports. - Ensure compliance with Medicare Advantage plan requirements and clinical guidelines. - Coordinate travel logistics as needed; utilize provided airfare, hotel, and rental car arrangements. - Maintain malpractice coverage provided by the contracting entity. **Required Skills:** - Strong clinical assessment and physical examination skills. - Excellent patient communication and bedside manner. - Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. - Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) or reporting tools. - Willingness and ability to travel nationwide on short notice. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. - Active, unrestricted state medical license in the United States. - Board certification (optional, not required). - Current malpractice insurance (provided by contractor).
