Architectural Assistant

Job Description

**Job Title:** Architectural Assistant **Role Summary:** Supports senior architects in the development of projects from RIBA Stage 2 through Stage 4. Responsible for early concept design, detailed development, and transition to Revit as projects progress. Works collaboratively within a design team to produce high‑quality, sustainable architectural solutions. **Expectations:** - Deliver design work on agreed timelines. - Maintain up‑to‑date project documentation. - Communicate design intent clearly with team members and stakeholders. - Demonstrate commitment to sustainable design principles. - Adapt to evolving project requirements and software platforms. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create and refine concept and detailed drawings in Rhino for RIBA Stage 2‑4. - Translate design concepts into accurate Revit models as projects develop toward delivery. - Prepare drawings, shop drawings, presentations, and specifications. - Collaborate with structural, MEP, and contractor teams to integrate multidisciplinary solutions. - Ensure designs comply with building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards. - Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and site visits as required. **Required Skills:** - Advanced proficiency in Rhino and Revit (basic CAD skills acceptable). - Strong design and drafting skills, with an eye for detail and aesthetics. - Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork orientation. - Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks. - Knowledge of sustainable design strategies and BIM workflows. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Architectural degree (BA/BSc) or equivalent. - RIBA Part II Assistant status or progress towards Part II registration. - Valid UK right to work.
