**Job title**: IT/OT Project Engineer
**Role Summary**: Lead and support the design, implementation, and maintenance of industrial automation and IT/OT systems. Coordinate cross‑functional projects, troubleshoot PLC, MES, SCADA, and network components, and drive continuous improvement in automation and digitalization initiatives.
**Expectations**: Deliver projects on time, maintain system integrity, and ensure alignment with manufacturing and business processes. Provide sustainable solutions, train stakeholders, and collaborate with suppliers and consultants.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan and execute IT/OT projects in collaboration with the IT/OT team.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot industrial PLCs, MES, PI, SCADA (FactoryTalk, Siemens WinCC, OPC, OSIsoft PI, etc.), and related applications.
- Support network infrastructure, virtualization, and OEM system integration.
- Develop and maintain automated reports, dashboards, and digital tools.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement long‑term fixes for IT/OT issues.
- Deliver training and support to cross‑departmental users.
- Participate in continuous improvement and change management for existing installations.
**Required Skills**
- Hands‑on experience with PLCs, MES, PI, SCADA, and industrial networking.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, virtualization, and OEM integration.
- Problem‑solving with a focus on sustainable solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English; Dutch or French proficiency preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Automation, Electromechanics, or related field.
- Certifications in PLC programming, SCADA, or industrial networking (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) are advantageous.
