Job Description
**Job Title:** Demand Planner **Role Summary:** Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for a national coffee retail chain, ensuring alignment with promotional, product launch, and phase‑out activities while balancing inventory and financial objectives. Collaborate across sales, marketing, finance, and supply‑chain functions to support S&OP processes and improve forecast reliability. **Expectations:** - Deliver statistically driven, data‑based demand plans within a hybrid work model. - Meet or exceed forecast accuracy targets and support business and financial plans. - Actively participate in S&OP meetings and cross‑functional initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and update statistical forecast models using historical order data. - Create demand plans for promotions, new product introductions, and product phase‑outs. - Generate demand plans when sales or category data are missing to maintain service levels. - Adjust forecasts based on consumption trends, backlog, and supply constraints. - Compare forecasts against business and financial plans; identify and close gaps. - Track forecast accuracy, analyze variances, and recommend improvement actions. - Facilitate S&OP meetings, aligning demand plans with business objectives and supply‑chain strategy. - Integrate sales, marketing, and finance data (including confidential information) to refine forecasts. - Coordinate with supply‑chain, sales, and operations teams to ensure demand plans support customer needs. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 3 years of experience in supply‑chain demand planning and forecasting. - Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with demand planning systems such as O9, SAP, BlueYonder, Sigma, or Tableau is a plus. - Strong analytical and statistical modeling capabilities. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Retail industry experience preferred. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or related field. - Professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) are an advantage but not mandatory.
