**Job Title:** Data Scientist **Role Summary:** Develop and implement predictive analytics solutions that support environmental sustainability goals. Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for both technical and business stakeholders. Conduct end‑to‑end data science projects, from data acquisition to model deployment, in a fast‑paced consulting environment. **Expectations:** - 3‑5 years of professional experience in data science or related analytics roles. - On‑site work required; no remote option. - Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple client projects. - Strong communication skills for presenting findings to diverse audiences. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build, validate, and deploy predictive models using machine learning techniques, including ensemble methods. - Design data collection and processing pipelines to address specific research questions. - Conduct data research to assess availability, suitability, and quality of data sources. - Develop SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures for data extraction and reporting. - Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights from large structured and unstructured datasets. - Create data visualizations and dashboards to synthesize technical information for stakeholders. - Document technical requirements and ensure solutions align with business objectives. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain project documentation in tools such as Jira and Git. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in Python and R for data analysis and machine learning. - Advanced SQL skills; experience with database management systems. - Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and mapping software. - Familiarity with cloud platforms and business intelligence concepts. - Knowledge of JSON, scripting for stored procedures/triggers. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and statistical modeling abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication; client‑focused mindset. - Ability to work effectively in team settings and adapt to fast‑changing environments. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Environmental Science, or a related quantitative field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Microsoft Azure AI, or equivalent) are a plus but not mandatory.
