Job Description
Job Title: Engineering Student – Maintenance Planning/Scheduling (May 2026) Role Summary: Student role within a SAGD oilsands maintenance planning/scheduling team. Support planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance work, including field verifications, data accuracy, and material management. Exposure to master data, procurement, and multi‑disciplinary teams in a large facility environment. Expectations: * Full‑time student or co‑op participant for a 4‑month term beginning May 2026. * Legal authorization to work in Canada. * Willingness to work rotational shifts with fly‑in/fly‑out arrangements. * Valid Canadian Class 5 driver’s licence with no restrictions and available for vehicle operation. * Ability to pass pre‑employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in planning work orders and conducting field validations to ensure technical document accuracy. * Support development and maintenance of maintenance schedules and work packages. * Generate and track material master requests and bill of materials. * Contribute to asset hierarchy development for Non‑Process Infrastructure. * Create reusable job plans for repetitive work to improve scheduling efficiency. * Collaborate with facility engineering, operations, procurement, warehousing, and integrity teams on site operations. Required Skills: * Strong written and oral communication. * Adaptability and organization in fast‑paced environments. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). * Asset: experience with Bluebeam and SAP. Required Education & Certifications: * Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate program (or Master’s/Ph.D. program) at an accredited post‑secondary institution. * Must return to full‑time studies after the internship term. * No new graduate status. ---
