Job Description
**Job Title:** Quality Control Manager **Role Summary:** Leads and oversees all quality control activities for construction projects from pre‑construction through close‑out. Develops site‑specific quality procedures, conducts audits and inspections across multiple disciplines, and collaborates with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and client standards. **Expectations:** - Maintain zero‑tolerance for non‑conforming work; exercise stop‑work authority when necessary. - Deliver accurate, timely quality reports and updates to project leadership. - Resolve client and subcontractor quality complaints efficiently. - Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement on fast‑paced, multi‑project sites. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review drawings, submittals, and specifications for conformance. - Develop, implement, and revise site‑specific quality procedures. - Conduct daily inspections and audits of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and coating work. - Lead weekly quality meetings and coordinate safety‑quality integration. - Monitor subcontractor/vendor performance; enforce contract quality requirements. - Prepare comprehensive quality control documentation (inventory, calibration, document control logs, weather impact, punch‑list items). - Act as Lead Auditor for construction activities and generate audit reports. - Coordinate final close‑out documentation with Project Manager. - Support material and equipment procurement as needed. **Required Skills:** - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook). - In‑depth knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations for civil/mining projects. - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities across all organizational levels. - Proven problem‑solving skills with multiple variables; sound business judgment. - Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and thrive in high‑pace, multi‑project environments. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, OSHA 30‑hour, or equivalent) are preferred but not mandatory.
