Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Analyst (12‑month contract) **Role Summary:** Analytical professional responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, shaping strategy, optimizing processes, and supporting end‑to‑end project delivery within the energy/utility sector. Acts as liaison among stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure solutions are delivered on scope, schedule, and budget while driving continuous improvement. **Expectations:** - 3–5 years experience as Business Analyst, Solutions Analyst, or Project Manager (preferably energy, utilities, or sales). - Ability to commute daily to Fleetwood or Manchester (no relocation assistance). - Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships, prioritize actions, and meet delivery timelines. - Commitment to a fixed‑term, 12‑month contract. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate detailed requirements. - Co‑create business strategies and translate them into actionable plans with clear objectives, timelines, and resources. - Analyze and redesign business processes to remove inefficiencies and align with transformation goals. - Develop business cases and solution strategies; assess options for customer experience, operational efficiency, and performance impact. - Support project delivery: risk management, progress tracking, status reporting, and adherence to scope, budget, and quality. - Coordinate with sponsors, users, and third‑party vendors to ensure seamless communication, change adoption, and solution rollout across digital, sales, marketing, and commercial systems. - Lead testing, training, and go‑live activities; prepare business users for new processes and systems. - Monitor post‑implementation performance, gather feedback, and identify continuous improvement opportunities. - Provide ongoing support for business change and evolution of processes/systems. **Required Skills:** - Strong stakeholder management and communication (all organizational levels). - Business analysis & process optimisation (root‑cause analysis, solution design). - Customer‑centric focus with experience in digital transformation, self‑service portals, and journey mapping. - Knowledge of CRM, telephony, workforce management, billing, and data‑management platforms. - Project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and full‑lifecycle delivery. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project tools (Jira, MS Project). - Data analysis and problem‑solving abilities; comfortable interpreting complex data sets. - Interpersonal skills: proactive, confident, ability to drive actions and manage expectations. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI‑ACP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master) are advantageous but not mandatory.
