Job Description
**Job Title:** Software Engineer (Entry Level) **Role Summary:** Entry‑level software engineer joining a core development team to expand and enhance a custom reporting product. Work with C#/.NET, SQL Server, JavaScript, Exasol databases, and Tableau BI to design, develop, test, tune, implement, and support high‑volume reporting functionality in a collaborative, deadline‑driven environment. **Expectations:** - Authorized to work for any U.S. employer (no visa sponsorship). - Ability to work with minimal supervision while contributing effectively in a team. - Meet project deadlines and adhere to development standards. - Stay current on technology trends and best practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, test, and maintain database objects and scripts using Exasol. - Create, optimize, and maintain daily reporting functionality and high‑volume queries. - Support and enhance the custom reports product, integrating Tableau BI features. - Perform database performance tuning and ETL processes. - Collaborate with team members on design decisions and code reviews. - Troubleshoot and resolve database administration and design issues. **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of relational databases; SQL Server experience preferred. - Proficient programming skills (C#/.NET; exposure to ASP.NET, Python, Java, C/C++, Perl a plus). - Experience with database performance tuning and ETL concepts. - Ability to solve complex database design and administration problems. - Effective teamwork and communication abilities. - Self‑motivated, deadline‑oriented, and capable of independent work. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (minimum GPA 3.6). - No specific certifications required.
