**Job Title:**
GIS/ArcGIS Systems Administrator (TS/SCI)
**Role Summary:**
Responsible for the installation, configuration, hardening, and ongoing management of ArcGIS Enterprise and related GIS components within a classified government/defense environment. Ensures compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, supports mission‑critical operations, and collaborates with developers and analysts to deliver secure geospatial services.
**Expectations:**
- Actively maintain an IT environment cleared for TS/SCI.
- Enforce DoD cyber policies (DISA STIGs, RMF, ACAS/HBSS) and produce required accreditation documentation.
- Operate in partially disconnected or offline contexts while ensuring system security and availability.
- Deliver DevSecOps practices for GIS infrastructure and assist in infrastructure‑as‑code initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deploy, patch, and harden ArcGIS Enterprise and ancillary GIS tools in a classified IT landscape.
- Configure SSL certificates, firewall rules, and system security settings to meet STIG and RMF requirements.
- Monitor system performance, logs, and health reports; provide audit and change‑management documentation.
- Collaborate with development teams to launch secure web services, geoprocessing tools, and custom geospatial applications.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, patch management, and incident response within the GIS stack.
- Support DevSecOps pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code for GIS services.
- Maintain knowledge base, troubleshooting documentation, and training materials for operational staff.
**Required Skills:**
- 4+ years of GIS system administration experience, 1+ year with Esri stack.
- Proficient in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, enterprise geoprocessing, and web services.
- Strong scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and optimization.
- In‑depth knowledge of DoD standards: ICD 503, DISA STIGs, RMF, ACAS/HBSS.
- Experience managing SSL/TLS, firewalls, and system hardening in secure environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex GIS and network issues, document solutions, and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- U.S. citizen, active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Esri certifications (ArcGIS Enterprise Administration Professional) and/or DoD 8570 certifications (Security+, CISSP) are strongly preferred.
