Job Description
Job title: Information Security Manager Role Summary: Lead the organization’s information security strategy, embedding best practices, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with industry frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Cyber Essentials, SWIFT) in a regulated fintech environment. Expectations: • Deliver secure solutions across technology and business projects. • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, auditors, and engineering teams. • Maintain a proactive posture on threat intelligence, incident response, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: • Embed security controls into projects and development lifecycles. • Manage penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities. • Define and enforce application security standards with engineering partners. • Conduct risk assessments for new initiatives, top‑level threats, and changes. • Lead third‑party vendor risk assessments and ongoing oversight. • Support incident response and drive post‑incident improvements. • Align policies and controls with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Cyber Essentials, and SWIFT. • Effectively communicate security matters to technical and non‑technical audiences. Required Skills: • Strong information‑security background. • CISSP certification. • Hands‑on expertise with AWS, DevSecOps pipelines, and security tooling (e.g., Tenable, Mimecast, Akamai, Sophos, MDR). • Knowledge of application security (OWASP, SDLC, DevSecOps). • Excellent communication and influencing skills. • Innovative mindset focused on emerging cyber threats. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). • CISSP (mandatory). • Additional certifications (CEH, OSCP, AWS Security) are highly desirable.
