Job Description
**Job Title:** General Foreperson **Role Summary:** Supervises and coordinates crew activities on oil‑ and gas‑related construction projects, primarily pipeline and integrity digs. Ensures work is performed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards during a temporary assignment (Oct 12 – Nov 28 2025). **Expectations:** - Minimum 6 years experience in oil & gas construction, including pipeline/integrity digs and depth‑of‑cover dirt work. - Hold mandatory safety tickets (CSTS‑2020 Ground Disturbance). - Physically capable of demanding field work in varied conditions. - Proficient in written and spoken English. - Reliable personal transportation to the work site. - Pass safety‑sensitive drug and alcohol testing. **Key Responsibilities:** - Direct daily crew operations, assign tasks, and monitor performance. - Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and site‑specific regulations. - Coordinate work sequencing with client/project schedules; adjust to varying daily plans. - Conduct pre‑job briefings, toolbox talks, and post‑job reviews. - Inspect work for quality and adherence to specifications; report progress and issues to supervisors. - Manage site logistics, including equipment placement and material handling. - Maintain accurate daily logs, time sheets, and incident reports. **Required Skills:** - Strong leadership and team‑management abilities. - In‑depth knowledge of pipeline construction and ground‑disturbance procedures. - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and work orders. - Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. - Good physical stamina and ability to work long (10‑hour) shifts. - Basic math and measurement competencies. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent (or comparable work experience). - Certified Safety Training Supervisor (CSTS‑2020) – Ground Disturbance certification. - Any additional site‑specific safety certifications as required by the employer.
