Job Description

**Job Title:** Network Transformation Consultant – SD‑WAN & SASE **Role Summary:** Lead the conversion of a legacy MPLS environment to a hybrid, internet‑based underlay using Palo Alto Networks Prisma SD‑WAN and SASE solutions. Design, deploy, and optimize secure, high‑performance network architecture while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors. **Expactations:** - Minimum 5 + years experience in MPLS‑to‑SD‑WAN migrations. - Proven track record delivering end‑to‑end network transformation projects. - Ability to work on‑site twice a week (London) and remotely otherwise. - Strong project‑management and stakeholder‑communication skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assess existing MPLS topology; define migration strategy and phased rollout plan. - Design scalable internet‑based underlay aligned with business and technical requirements. - Configure and deploy Palo Alto Prisma SD‑WAN edge devices and cloud controllers. - Integrate SASE components (SWG, CASB, ZTNA, Firewall‑as‑a‑Service) and ensure interoperability with existing firewalls, routers, and cloud services. - Apply best‑practice security (zero‑trust, segmentation, secure breakout) and performance tuning using Palo Alto analytics. - Implement policy‑based routing, QoS, and application‑aware traffic management. - Produce comprehensive design, configuration, and operational documentation. - Conduct training sessions for internal staff on new platforms and processes. **Required Skills:** - Deep expertise in Palo Alto Networks Prisma SD‑WAN and SASE architecture. - Strong knowledge of IP routing, BGP, VPN, QoS, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Familiarity with security frameworks, zero‑trust principles, and firewall policies. - Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication abilities. - Project management competence (Agile/Waterfall) and vendor coordination. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Palo Alto Networks Professional/Specialist certification(s) (e.g., PCNSE, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer). - Additional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are advantageous.
