About the Company

General Infomatics (GI) is a minority owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), 8(a) Certified, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) with offices in McLean, VA and Gaithersburg, MD. We are ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) Certified. In 2005 Carlos "Tony" Garces founded and incorporated General Infomatics, a service disabled veteran owned small business, as a professional services company through the use of personal investment. One month after opening its doors, GI won its first job at the Defense Information Systems Agency. One year later, he reunited with Patrick Xantus, a business and technology director from his prior days at a technology firm who was providing independent software consulting and contemplating starting his own company. Together, they joined as partners to build a dynamic successful company committed to providing innovative solutions to Federal Government customers. Today, GI is widely recognized as a supplier of practical and innovative solutions to complex problems. In 2008, GI applied for its 8(a) certification and received approval from the Small Business Administration.

Job Description
**Job Title** STEM Paid Internship – DOD Test Resource Management Center (TRMCi) **Role Summary** A 10‑week paid internship for active U.S. citizen STEM students, providing hands‑on experience in test and evaluation (T&E) projects at Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) sites. Interns support engineers, scientists, and technical staff on engineering analysis, systems testing, data science, cyber, modeling, simulation, and software development tasks related to national defense mission readiness. **Expectations** * Must be a U.S. citizen with eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance. * Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field (engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, etc.) or enrolled in a trade/technical program (mechatronics, electronics, advanced manufacturing, etc.). * Demonstrated strong academic performance and interest in national security or defense careers. **Key Responsibilities** - Assist engineers and scientists on T&E projects, contributing to design, analysis, and testing activities. - Perform data collection, processing, and analysis for mission-critical systems. - Support development and validation of models and simulations used in test operations. - Participate in software development cycles for instrumentation, monitoring, or data handling tools. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, attending briefings, field tests, and debriefs. - Contribute to documentation, reports, and presentation of findings to senior staff. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Proficiency in programming languages relevant to the project (e.g., Python, C/C++, MATLAB). - Basic knowledge of data analysis tools and scientific computing. - Familiarity with test engineering concepts, systems engineering, or simulation methodologies. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to fast‑changing priorities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current enrollment in a recognized Bachelor’s or Master’s STEM degree program or a technical school (trade/college) with a focus on a technical discipline. - Eligibility for a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Job Description
**Job Title** STEM Internship – Test Resource Management Center (TRMCi) **Role Summary** A 10‑week paid internship conducted in person at DoD Test and Evaluation ranges (including Electronic Proving Ground, Fort Huachuca, AZ). Supports the Department of Defense's Test Resource Management Center in engineering, computer science, data science, and related activities.
