Drive technical strategy, innovation, and high-quality delivery across distributed systems. **Expectations** Ensure predictable, high-velocity delivery of enterprise-grade software. Scale a 100+-member global engineering team. Align engineering initiatives with business goals to deliver secure, reliable, high-performance platforms. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect and scale distributed systems for accounts payable, payment processing, and AI/automation platforms. - Define engineering standards for backend/frontend development, security, infrastructure, testing, and observability. - Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to prioritize and deliver customer-focused solutions. - Mentor engineering leaders to strengthen management capacity and team performance. - Champion AI/automation integration to optimize developer efficiency and system scalability. **Required Skills** - 10+ years of software engineering product development experience. - Proven track record in leading teams to scale B2B/B2C platforms. - Expertise in backend/frontend development, with proficiency in Python, AWS, Postgres, and Django. - Leadership experience managing large, global engineering organizations. - Strong analytical and communication skills for stakeholder alignment. - Hands-on technical leadership balancing strategic and tactical execution. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. - Demonstrated success in scaling high-volume, mission-critical systems. - Startup engineering leadership experience preferred.
