Job Title: Senior Backend Software Engineer - relocation Germany
Job Description: Job Title: Senior Backend Software Engineer Role Summary: Lead design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services for aviation applications within an Agile Scrum team. Own end‑to‑end lifecycle from requirement analysis to production support, focusing on high‑performance, fault‑tolerant microservices and API solutions. Expectations: - Deliver enterprise‑grade code that meets architectural standards and performance goals. - Mentor junior developers through task planning, code reviews, and pair programming. - Collaborate across cross‑functional teams using SAFe and Scrum practices. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and test RESTful APIs and business services for aeronautical systems. - Build and evolve microservices with event‑driven architectures (Kafka, Confluent). - Develop and maintain cloud‑native applications, leveraging open‑source data and middleware stacks. - Conduct code reviews, refactor legacy components, and enforce coding best practices. - Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and continuous delivery pipelines. - Ensure security, performance, and disaster‑recovery requirements are met and documented. - Mentor junior team members and facilitate knowledge transfer. Required Skills: - ≥5 years professional backend development experience. - Strong Java proficiency with Spring or Quarkus frameworks. - Deep knowledge of Kafka/Confluent, event‑sourcing patterns, and microservices architecture. - Experience with cloud‑native deployment, CI/CD, and container orchestration. - Familiarity with middleware, database, and infrastructure components. - Solid understanding of security best practices, performance tuning, and disaster recovery. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills in English (C1). - Valid European passport. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
