Job Description
**Job Title:** Engineer V (AX1900) **Role Summary:** Senior engineering role leading research, development, testing, and evaluation of military aviation and weapon systems, focusing on technical analysis, system integration, and flight test operations. Requires advanced technical expertise in aerospace or related disciplines and leadership in high-complexity project environments. **Expectations:** - B.S. in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Physics + 12 years combined engineering/technical experience (8 years project experience) OR M.S. in specialized field + 10 years experience (6 years project experience). - Aerospace engineering experience (design, testing, materials R&D) may substitute for M.S. - U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for DoD security clearance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead flight test planning, execution, and analysis of aviation weapon systems, ensuring real-time safety and data quality. - Manage test project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for system integration and evaluation. - Analyze test data, prepare reports, and document flight operations and test methodologies. - Conduct technical analysis in specialized areas (e.g., radar, electro-optics, structural systems). **Required Skills:** - Expertise in aircraft systems (flight controls, radar, navigation) and test/evaluation protocols. - Proficiency in technical analysis, modeling, and simulation for aviation/military applications. - Leadership in cross-functional teams and project management. **Required Education & Certifications:** - B.S. or M.S. from accredited university in engineering, physics, or related field; 12–10 years total experience as specified. - FAA Class III medical certificate. - DoD security clearance. - U.S. Citizenship.
