Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Development Manager – Indirect Sales – Retail **Role Summary:** Drive sales of electricity and sustainability solutions for commercial/industrial (C&I) customers via indirect sales channels. Focus on generating, negotiating, and closing energy contracts through broker and channel partner networks. Deliver targeted sales targets while leveraging CPV’s market expertise in renewable energy. **Expectations:** - Exceed sales quotas for MWh volumes, gross/net margins, and win-rate percentages. - Utilize established customer relationships and prospecting strategies to build a qualified sales pipeline. - Develop strategic partnerships and maintain strong broker relationships to secure deals. **Key Responsibilities:** - Negotiate and close energy service contracts for C&I clients through indirect channels. - Conduct market research to identify customer needs and tailor solutions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute sales plans and meet growth targets. - Represent CPV at industry events to build brand visibility and networking opportunities. - Manage CRM tool for lead tracking, deal documentation, and collaboration with operations teams. - Train and onboard brokers on CPV energy solutions and value propositions. - Monitor competitors and adjust sales strategies to maintain market competitiveness. **Required Skills:** - Proven track record in indirect retail sales within deregulated energy markets. - Advanced negotiation and deal-closure skills in complex sales scenarios. - Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities. - Proficiency in CRM tools and data analysis for sales performance tracking. - In-depth knowledge of electricity commodities and sustainability product offerings. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, marketing, or related field. - MBA preferred. - Minimum 5 years of indirect retail sales experience in deregulated electricity markets. - Demonstrated expertise in customer relationship management and sales strategy.
