Job Description
**Job title:** HR Business Partner **Role Summary:** Partner with the retail operations of a large regional store network to provide strategic HR support, drive business performance, and manage talent development and succession planning. **Expectations:** Deliver tailored HR solutions to approximately 140 stores; act as a trusted advisor to district and regional leadership; facilitate change, improve processes, and maintain statutory compliance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and monitor HR services for the retail region. - Lead succession and talent planning; conduct mid‑year calibrations and succession discussions. - Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives; represent partner networks. - Provide coaching, training, and first‑line support on people, performance, and ER matters. - Manage complex employee relations and ET claims, promoting best practices. - Serve as a change agent for restructures, redundancies, and severance programs. - Partner with talent acquisition to execute regional hiring strategies. - Analyse performance metrics (turnover, labour costs, training completion); develop action plans to address trends. - Own delivery of key HR KPIs, including apprenticeship rates and talent program success. - Communicate new employment legislation; ensure compliance across the region. **Required Skills:** - Strategic HR partnership & consulting. - Talent management, succession, and workforce planning. - Employee relations, ER processes, and compliance knowledge. - Change management and organizational development. - Coaching, mentoring, and HR training delivery. - Data‑driven analysis and KPI reporting. - Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management. **Required Education & Certifications:** - CIPD qualification (or equivalent). - Minimum degree in HR, Business, or related field. - Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role in a fast‑paced retail or dynamic environment.
