Job Description
Job Title: QA Technician Role Summary: Ensure product safety and quality in food production through analytical testing, compliance monitoring, and regulatory adherence. Support quality assurance programs and audits. Expectations: Perform 3rd shift (9pm-5:30am; Sunday-Thursday). Ensure compliance with BRC, HACCP, and FDA regulations. Maintain laboratory safety and documentation systems. Collaborate with R&D and operations teams to resolve quality discrepancies. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor, evaluate, and report analytical results of raw materials and finished products. - Develop and review QA procedures to align with customer and company standards. - Conduct sensory evaluations, visual inspections, and laboratory analyses (e.g., organoleptic, moisture, water activity). - Maintain sample retain library and perform environmental testing (e.g., swabbing). - Complete cGMP internal audits, lab safety protocols, and sanitation chemical titrations. - Participate in product release decisions and customer complaint investigations. - Organize production documents, certificates of analysis, and archival systems. Required Skills: - Analytical testing and data interpretation in food manufacturing. - Regulatory knowledge (BRC, HACCP, FDA). - Laboratory techniques (titration, swabbing, sensory evaluation). - Strong documentation and organizational abilities. - Problem-solving skills for product quality discrepancies. Required Education & Certifications: - High School Diploma/GED or Bachelor’s in science preferred. - 3+ years in QA/QC within FDA-regulated industries. - cGMP training; knowledge of BRC, HACCP, Safe Food/Safe Feed audits.
