Job Title: Remote Senior Backend Engineer (Frontend & Data Collaboration)
Role Summary:
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services (Python/Django) for user activation and engagement within a growth‑driven hospitality platform. Own full project lifecycles, from requirement gathering to deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement, while collaborating across product, data, and frontend teams.
Expactations:
* Deliver high‑quality, production‑ready code that meets performance, reliability, and security standards.
* Maintain autonomy and ownership of end‑to‑end feature ownership, ensuring measurable business impact.
* Communicate effectively in English with cross‑functional stakeholders and contribute to architectural direction.
* Operate within European time zones (UTC +0/ +2) while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and deploy robust Python/Django APIs and backend services.
* Own end‑to‑end feature delivery: problem definition, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
* Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code using unit, integration, and functional tests; enforce code quality standards.
* Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Frontend teams to define measurable outcomes.
* Occasionally contribute code to React components and data pipelines (Snowflake, Airflow, dbt) to unblock progress or improve feedback loops.
* Ensure data quality, observability, and performance for analytics and growth experiments.
* Participate in architecture reviews, technical discussions, and mentorship to uphold engineering excellence.
* Drive continuous improvement of design, testing, deployment, and monitoring practices.
Required Skills:
* Proven professional experience in backend software engineering.
* Advanced proficiency in Python and Django.
* Solid understanding of software design principles, scalable architecture, and testing methodologies.
* Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, and modern monitoring/observability tools.
* Familiarity with React and data workflows; ability to read/extend frontend code and data pipelines.
* Product‑oriented mindset with an awareness of trade‑offs, user needs, and impact‑driven development.
* Strong ownership mentality, delivering projects from concept to measurable results.
* Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
