Job Description
**Job title:** Front Desk Hostess Manager **Role Summary:** Manage and supervise front‑desk hostess operations, ensuring high‑quality guest reception, reservation management, and team coordination in a luxury hospitality environment. **Expectations:** Maintain strict adherence to service standards, uphold a welcoming atmosphere, and support hostesses with training, scheduling, and performance oversight. **Key Responsibilities:** - Receive guests, manage coat check, escort to tables with courtesy and professionalism. - Handle incoming telephone calls and e‑mail inquiries; make and confirm reservations, update reservation ledger and client cardex. - Coordinate daily hostess staffing schedules, submit to and obtain approval from the restaurant director. - Train hostesses on guest knowledge, menu details, and restaurant technology (e.g., Lafourchette, Knowcross). - Ensure cleanliness and impeccable presentation of the reception and public areas at all times. - Process table payments and handle cash transactions. - Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, daily specials, table layout, reservation system, hotel services, and local events. - Enforce alcohol regulations and hotel policies for all service areas. - Provide timely communication among team members and respond to calls within three rings. - Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. **Required Skills:** - Excellent customer‑service and interpersonal communication. - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. - Proficiency with reservation and point‑of‑sale systems. - Ability to train and motivate a team. - Fluency in French and English (additional languages an advantage). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum CAP or BEP qualification. - At least 6 months of prior experience in a similar front‑desk or hostess role, preferably in luxury or palace settings.
