Job Description
**Job Title** Fractional Finance Manager – Contractor (FinOps Manager) **Role Summary** Provide finance and operational expertise to multiple UK‑based startup and scale‑up clients on a part‑time (1‑5 days/week) basis. Deliver scalable finance solutions, automate processes, and act as a trusted advisor to founders and leadership teams while collaborating with RORA’s FinOps team and external partners. **Expectations** - Pursue a dedicated contracting career, not a temporary gap between permanent roles. - Work on varied client assignments with flexibility in weekly hours. - Attend occasional on‑site meetings in London. - Operate in a fast‑paced startup environment, adapting quickly to change. - Contribute to a collaborative community and support junior analysts. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage accounting and finance operations for multiple startup/scale‑up clients. - Design, implement, and optimize automated financial systems and processes. - Produce management reports and financial dashboards for leadership. - Build and maintain strong relationships with client founders, leadership teams, and external partners. - Mentor and develop the international FinOps Analyst team. - Ensure compliance with UK finance regulations and internal controls. **Required Skills** - 5+ years finance and accounting experience in startup or scale‑up settings. - Strong proficiency with cloud‑based accounting software (e.g., Xero) and related tools (e.g., Dext, Pleo). - Ability to create and present management reporting and financial analyses. - Proven track record of automating and streamlining finance processes. - Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. - Collaborative, proactive mindset with a focus on delivering impact. **Required Education & Certifications** - Relevant professional finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred; part‑qualified acceptable. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
