Job Description
Job Title: Senior Hardware Engineer Role Summary: Lead the design, development, and integration of control system hardware that processes sensor inputs, triggers alerting devices, and connects to cloud‑based digital services, ensuring both commercial viability and technical robustness. Expectations: Deliver hardware solutions that meet performance, reliability, and cost targets; collaborate cross‑functionally with software and cloud teams; drive continuous improvement of product architecture to support scalable, market‑ready offerings. Key Responsibilities: • Design and prototype PCB and component assemblies for control systems. • Integrate sensor interfaces and develop hardware trigger/alert mechanisms. • Implement firmware and hardware interfaces for cloud connectivity. • Conduct functional, thermal, and reliability testing; troubleshoot and resolve design issues. • Document specifications, schematics, and test procedures; maintain compliance with industry standards. • Mentor junior engineers; review design work and provide technical guidance. Required Skills: • Proficiency in hardware design tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence). • Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design, PCB layout, and signal integrity. • Experience with sensor integration, signal conditioning, and real‑time control. • Familiarity with microcontroller/FPGA firmware and serial/IoT communication protocols. • Understanding of cloud integration concepts (REST APIs, MQTT, etc.). • Solid testing methodology, including use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and automated test rigs. • Effective communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving abilities.
