**Job Title**: Software Engineer (ServiceNow)
**Role Summary**: Senior ServiceNow engineer responsible for designing, developing, and leading delivery of complex, high‑impact applications and enhancements. Provides technical direction, mentors less experienced staff, and ensures solutions are scalable, high‑performance, and compliant with organizational standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct in‑depth system analysis, design, and development for large‑scale ServiceNow projects.
- Provide expert consulting on technology strategy and solution architecture.
- Direct and coordinate junior team members on multi‑scope projects.
- Build, manage, and track technical components of project plans ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Collaborate across development, operations, and business units from requirements to UAT.
- Design, execute comprehensive test plans, debug, and resolve complex issues.
- Analyze interdependencies among applications, interfaces, and platforms.
- Create and maintain detailed technical and functional documentation (specs, diagrams, flowcharts).
- Provide accurate effort estimates, timelines, and task assessments.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes for performance gains.
- Lead vendor software evaluations and technical assessments.
- Enforce development standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Support budgeting, resource performance monitoring, and risk compliance.
- Participate in due diligence, cost‑benefit analyses, and strategic projects.
**Required Skills**:
- High proficiency with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, IRE, Service Mapping, Data Certification.
- Strong ServiceNow architecture knowledge across HAM, SAM, EA, CSDM portfolios.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals with rapid adaptation to new frameworks.
- Advanced problem‑solving, analytical, and debugging abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Experience with project management tools and multi‑project coordination.
- Leadership and mentoring experience in cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of risk, compliance, and regulatory standards for IT solutions.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent) with at least 6 years of systems analysis/application development experience, or 8 years of combined education and work experience (minimum 6 years in development).
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Application Developer (CAD) preferred.
- Additional certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified Integration Specialist, Design Specialist) are advantageous.
