Job Description
**Job title** Assistant Manager – Pulp (H/F) **Role Summary** Provide process support and improvement within the production sector of a pulp plant. Drive reliability, safety, performance, and regulatory compliance while mentoring teams and leading cross‑functional projects. **Expectations** - Achieve high reliability, safety, and economic performance of the unit. - Ensure conformity with environmental and safety regulations. - Communicate effectively in English with international stakeholders. - Contribute to the company’s continuous improvement culture. **Key Responsibilities** - **Safety & Environment** – enforce safety protocols, train staff, and maintain environmental compliance. - **Production Support** – detect and correct deviations, optimize unit operations, resolve incidents, update operation manuals, and assist in commissioning new projects. - **Management & Communication** – cascade company policies, ensure adherence to production directives, and guide operators. - **Continuous Improvement** – lead technical projects to boost productivity, product quality, and environmental performance; apply Lean and Six Sigma tools. - **Maintenance Coordination** – support plant shutdowns, identify critical equipment, and recommend preventive measures. - **Reporting & Analysis** – prepare project and incident reports, propose enhancements, and track improvement outcomes. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Leadership and teamwork orientation. - Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement methodologies. - Knowledge of chemical/process engineering in pulp or related chemical production. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English. - Organization, rigor, and methodical workflow management. **Required Education & Certifications** - Engineer‑level degree in Chemical or Process Engineering. - Minimum 5 years experience in pulp, paper, or chemical production. - Proof of English proficiency; certifications in Lean or Six Sigma preferred.
