Job Description
Job Title: Data Engineer F/H Role Summary: Responsible for managing, integrating, and optimizing customs data (tariff classification, origin, value) within an aeronautics client’s information systems. Develop automated extraction pipelines, clean and structure data, build KPI reporting tools, and collaborate with IT and cross‑functional teams to enhance data quality and decision‑making. Expectations: - Apply deep knowledge of customs regulations and classification systems. - Deliver reliable, continuous data feeds and maintain data integrity across multiple sources. - Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders in English. - Proactively propose and implement process improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Collect and ingest customs data from diverse external sources into internal databases. - Design and implement automatised extraction and integration processes (ETL/ELT). - Clean and structure datasets, detecting and correcting inconsistencies or errors. - Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools for customs data. - Enhance data quality through tools and workflows that support decision‑making. - Collaborate with IT to integrate new solutions into existing processes. - Work closely with Procurement, Customer Support, and other departments to ensure data coherence. Required Skills: - Expertise in customs regulation (tariff codes, origin, value). - Strong analytical, statistical, and algorithmic skills. - Experience with data integration, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing. - Proficiency in data cleaning, transformation, and quality assurance. - Ability to merge and analyze data from multiple sources. - Competence in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar). - Excellent written and verbal communication; clear and concise. - Fluency in French and English. - Autonomy, initiative, teamwork, and strong stakeholder management. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree (or higher, Bac +4/5) in Customs, International Trade, Information Technology, or related field. - Certification in customs compliance or data engineering (preferred).
