Job Description

Job Title: Junior Java Developer Role Summary Junior Java Developer responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining scalable Java applications using Spring Framework and microservices. Works closely with developers, QA, and product teams to deliver clean, efficient code and resolve defects in a contract engagement. Expectations - Produce high-quality Java code in a fast‑paced environment. - Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance. - Collaborate effectively in a cross‑functional team setting. - Communicate clearly in written and verbal formats. Key Responsibilities - Develop new features and maintain existing modules in Java, adhering to style and design guidelines. - Build and integrate microservices using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and related technologies. - Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews and continuous integration workflows. - Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security issues, and bugs. - Document application components, APIs, and configuration settings. - Collaborate with the team on architecture discussions and implementation decisions. - Keep up‑to‑date with evolving Java, Spring, and microservices best practices. Required Skills - Strong proficiency in Java (SE/EE). - Practical experience with Spring Framework (Boot, MVC, Data). - Knowledge of RESTful API design and microservices architecture. - Familiarity with relational databases (SQL) and ORMs (e.g., Hibernate/JPA). - Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines. - Excellent problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical skills. - Strong written and verbal communication. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. - Certifications in Java or Spring (e.g., Oracle Certified Associate, Spring Professional) are a plus.
