Job Description
**Job title:** Senior Cyber Security Engineer **Role Summary:** Execute penetration testing, secure software development life cycle (SDLC), and maintain compliance with industry standards. Lead incident response, security assessments, and cross-functional collaboration to protect client systems and data. **Expactations:** Deliver expertise in penetration testing, compliance (NERC CIP), security policy enforcement, and threat mitigation. Drive innovation in security tools and frameworks while maintaining high-quality, compliant solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct penetration testing on web, API, and thick applications using manual and automated tools. - Ensure compliance with NERC CIP, SLAs, and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP). - Lead threat modeling, code reviews, and security integrations across SDLC. - Manage incident response, digital forensics, and vulnerability remediation. - Develop training materials and promote security awareness. - Coordinate cross-departmental security initiatives and policy updates. - Prototype and implement new security tools and technologies. **Required Skills:** - Expertise in penetration testing, exploit development, and vulnerability analysis using Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit, SQLMap. - Proficiency in firewalls, cloud security (Azure), SIEM tools (e.g., Secureworks MDR, Fortinet, BitSight), and SAST/SCA tools. - In-depth knowledge of NIST, OWASP Top 10/ASVS, and compliance frameworks. - Analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, and collaboration in fast-paced environments. - Strong communication to present technical findings to leadership and stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in security engineering or equivalent roles. - Hands-on experience with network, cloud, and application security tools.
