Job Description: **Job Title:** Financial Assistant **Role Summary:** Provide day‑to‑day financial administration support under the Head of Procurement & Partnerships. Manage payment queries, invoicing, remittance processes, and maintain accurate financial records across internal systems. Deliver excellent customer service to tenants, agents, and internal stakeholders. **Expectations:** - Early‑stage finance/accounting professional or returning worker. - Receive on‑the‑job training during induction. - Contribute to team targets for call handling and service delivery. - Work independently while supporting a growing social housing organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Resolve payment queries from managing agents. - Maintain and update business decision‑notice procedures. - Handle incoming calls professionally and respond to complaints within set timelines. - Manage tenant conflict queries. - Authorise, code, and process all invoices and expenses accurately. - Update financial data in internal systems promptly. - Record remittance payments and conduct manual line matching during remittance week. - Participate in training and professional development. - Perform additional duties as directed by the Finance Team. **Required Skills:** - Accounting qualification or demonstrable accounting knowledge. - Proficiency in financial procedures, numeracy, and detail orientation. - Strong verbal and written communication. - Customer‑service orientation. - Advanced MS Office skills, especially Word and Excel. - Experience maintaining spreadsheets. - Experience with Sage 50 accounting software. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent). - Any certification that demonstrates accounting or finance competency.
