Job title: Senior Director, Professional Services
Role Summary: Lead the delivery organization for large, multi‑year IT services contracts and staff augmentation. Drive operational excellence, client satisfaction, and profitable growth while overseeing budgeting, resource planning, and cross‑functional alignment.
Expectations:
- Maintain and grow a profitable professional services portfolio.
- Ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery of engagements.
- Strengthen client relationships and act as executive sponsor.
- Deliver measurable improvements in delivery processes, staff scalability, and service metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a multi‑disciplinary delivery team (consultants, PMs, technical staff, contractors).
- Define, implement, and enforce delivery management processes and quality standards.
- Plan resources, allocate staff, and manage change to support expanding customer base.
- Own P&L: budgeting, forecasting, financial performance tracking, and profitability targets.
- Provide project managers with staffing, tools, and risk mitigation support.
- Serve as executive client engagement lead; travel as needed to reinforce relationships.
- Support sales with scoping, SOW, and change order creation and approvals.
- Develop new consulting service offerings and pursue organic growth opportunities.
- Optimize internal systems (LMS, scheduling, KPIs) to improve delivery efficiency.
- Lead recruiting, onboarding, and continuous training initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience directing a delivery organization with <$50M annual revenue.
- Deep knowledge of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong financial acumen (P&L management, budgeting, forecasting).
- Executive‑level cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder influence.
- Advanced delivery management best practices and mentoring capability.
- Ability to design scalable staffing models and deployment frameworks.
- Excellent client interaction, negotiation, and problem‑resolution skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- PMP, PMI‑Agile Certified Practitioner, or equivalent delivery certifications preferred.
