Job Description
**Job Title:** Part‑Time Retail Sales Advisor **Role Summary:** Deliver outstanding customer service in a retail environment focused on paint, wallpaper, and decorating supplies. Generate sales, provide product recommendations, mix paint, handle specialist orders, maintain stock, and support day‑to‑day store operations on a 20‑hour, rotating shifts schedule. **Expectations:** - Work 20 hrs per week on a flexible rota (Mon‑Fri + rotating Saturday). - Complete training in fire safety/first aid if required. - Meet weekly sales targets and promotion objectives. - Maintain store and warehouse safety and organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Greet and assist customers, identifying needs and recommending suitable products. - Mix paint, process specialist orders, and request out‑of‑stock items. - Promote seasonal and special merchandise, manage in‑store merchandising. - Receive deliveries, unload freight, and distribute stock throughout the store. - Keep inventory accurate, assist with stock replenishment and stock‑taking. - Uproot, clean, and organize the warehouse in accordance with company standards. - Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth branch operations and customer satisfaction. **Required Skills:** - Excellent verbal communication and customer‑service skills. - Strong interpersonal skills with an approachable, friendly attitude. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Basic math and data entry proficiency for transactions and inventory. - Adaptability and willingness to learn new products and processes. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum secondary‑level education (High School Diploma or equivalent). - No prior retail or product knowledge necessary; full on‑the‑job training provided. - Willingness to obtain fire marshal or first‑aid certification if requested.
