**Job Title:** Retail Sales Advisor **Role Summary:** Short‑term (12‑month) Retail Sales Advisor tasked with delivering exceptional customer service in a high‑volume decorating supplies outlet. Responsible for guiding customers to appropriate product solutions, maintaining stock, and supporting sales initiatives within a team‑centred retail environment. **Expectations:** - 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, with a rotating Saturday shift. - Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives. - Commitment to continuous learning of product lines and sales techniques. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide frontline customer service, translating customer requirements into product recommendations. - Assist customers in selecting trade‑and‑restaurant‑grade paints, décor materials, and accessories. - Prepare custom paint mixtures, process orders, and request stock from the supply network. - Promote seasonal and special items, manage in‑store merchandising to maximise visibility and sales. - Conduct accurate stock handling: unload deliveries, store items per company procedures, and maintain orderly inventory levels. - Build and sustain positive customer relationships to foster repeat business. **Required Skills:** - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Customer‑focused mindset with ability to identify and meet individual needs. - Basic math and data entry proficiency for order processing. - Team collaboration combined with independent initiative. - Quick learner, adaptable to new product information and store systems. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum of secondary school completion (GCSEs or equivalent). - No mandatory retail or product‑specific certifications required; full on‑the‑job training provided.
