Job Description
**Job title:** Final-year Internship – Civil Engineering (Construction Works) **Role Summary:** A final-year engineering or university student will support the planning, execution, and completion of road and urban infrastructure projects, specifically on a high‑profile acoustic fence installation. The role provides hands‑on project management experience, from administrative tasks to on‑site coordination, under mentorship of senior project leaders. **Expectations:** - Deliver quality support on project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration. - Participate actively in site meetings, client interactions, and team coordination. - Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and a collaborative mindset. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist with administrative and contractual management of construction works. - Support the entire project lifecycle – from initial studies through to final hand‑over. - Monitor progress, maintain schedules, and report on performance metrics. - Aid in budgeting, cost control, and financial tracking. - Enforce health, safety, and quality (QSE) standards on site. - Prepare and attend project meeting minutes, action items, and client updates. - Contribute to workforce planning and staff coordination within the works team. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and synthesis abilities. - Basic knowledge of construction engineering principles and project life‑cycle. - Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Excel). - Effective communication in written and verbal French (English preferred). - Team orientation with the ability to follow guidance and take initiative. - Responsible, dynamic, and proactive approach to task execution. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in a final year of a civil engineering, construction, or related university program. - No additional certifications required at entry; willingness to acquire site‑specific health & safety training is expected.
