Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager Role Summary: Lead and deliver capital-intensive renewable energy projects from concept through to handover, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget completion while meeting quality, safety, and ESG standards. Expectations: Deliver high‑value projects on schedule and within budget; maintain stakeholder engagement; continuously improve processes; manage risks; ensure regulatory compliance and sustainability targets. Key Responsibilities: - Drive projects from concept to “ready‑to‑build,” identifying and resolving permitting, grid connection, and land acquisition constraints. - Prepare tender documents, evaluate EPC and supplier proposals, and negotiate contracts for equipment, logistics, and construction. - Build and refine internal project management frameworks and processes. - Engage regulators, utilities, and planning authorities to secure approvals. - Conduct feasibility assessments and manage pre‑construction risks. - Oversee grid‑connection studies and liaise with DNOs/transmission operators. - Manage EPC contractors, enforcing schedules, budgets, QA/QC, and H&S standards. - Conduct site inspections, review QA/QC documentation, and approve commissioning processes. - Coordinate communication among contractors, suppliers, and internal teams. - Track milestones, manage variations, and resolve unforeseen issues. - Ensure alignment with environmental and sustainability objectives. - Support handover and project close‑out with full documentation and approvals. Required Skills: - Strong project management expertise (PMI, APM, or equivalent). - Experience delivering complex renewable energy projects from concept to completion. - Proven track record of on‑time, on‑budget delivery with safety and environmental compliance. - Proficiency with PM tools (MS Project, Primavera, EDMS). - Skilled in procurement strategy, contractual frameworks, and negotiation. - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement at C‑suite and board levels. - Entrepreneurial mindset, innovation, and continuous improvement orientation. - Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external experts in a fast‑paced environment. Required Education & Certifications: - Degree in a technical discipline (BEng, BSc). - Professional qualification (e.g., APM) preferred or in progress.
