Job Description
**Job Title:** HSQE Advisor **Role Summary:** Provide expert health, safety, quality, and environmental (HSQE) guidance across UK and Ireland operations, focusing on development and construction. Drive continuous improvement of HSQE management systems, conduct audits, inspections, incident investigations, and deliver training and workshops to embed a high‑performance HSQE culture. **Expectations:** - Support Lead HSQE Manager in maintaining industry‑best HSQE performance. - Deliver consistent HSQE advice and compliance to all business units. - Champion continuous improvement and exemplary HSQE behaviour across the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Conduct regular site HSQE inspections and audits. 2. Review risk assessments, procedures, method statements, and training documents. 3. Analyse HSQE trends from incidents, audits, and inspections; present findings and recommendations. 4. Prepare and facilitate workshops, briefings, and written feedback on HSQE matters. 5. Engage contractors, suppliers, and clients to assess HSQE suitability and pre‑qualification. 6. Support development of HSQE management systems, ensuring commercial advantage and compliance. 7. Prepare reports for the Lead HSQE Manager and maintain documentation. 8. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship; challenge poor practices. **Required Skills:** - Independent and collaborative work ethic. - Strong verbal and written communication; ability to present structured information. - Stakeholder engagement skills with regulators, clients, contractors, and internal teams. - Analytical decision‑making using data, risk analysis, and judgement. - Proficiency in reading external standards (HSE, SEPA, EA, NIEA). - Ability to motivate teams and deliver training. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (Health, Safety, and Environment). - Knowledge of UK & Ireland HS&E legislation. - Quality audit training (UKAS approved or equivalent). **Additional Requirements:** - Experience in renewable energy or construction industry; operational sites experience valued. - Experience with internal and supplier audits, HSQE systems implementation, and training program development. - Willingness to travel, work unsocial hours, and possess a full UK & Ireland driving license.
