Senior Director of AI
**Role Summary**
Strategic executive responsible for developing, owning, and executing the company’s AI vision, ensuring alignment with long‑term business objectives. Leads cross‑functional teams through the full AI lifecycle—from research and prototyping to scalable production—and establishes governance frameworks for ethical, safe, and compliant AI. Drives measurable ROI, identifies high‑impact use cases across products, operations, and customer experience, and communicates the AI roadmap to executive stakeholders and industry audiences.
**Expectations**
* Deliver tangible business value through AI—revenue growth, cost savings, or efficiency gains.
* Maintain a portfolio of AI projects that transition from prototype to production at scale.
* Navigate and influence executive leadership, industry partners, and regulatory bodies on AI strategy.
* Lead a high‑performance technical organization and manage cross‑functional collaborations.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Define and own the company’s AI strategy, ensuring it supports overarching business goals and market opportunities.
2. Collaborate with Product, R&D, and Operations to design, prototype, and deliver end‑to‑end AI solutions.
3. Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of AI models in production environments.
4. Evaluate emerging AI technologies and industry trends, recommending adoption to sustain competitive advantage.
5. Establish and enforce AI governance standards, including ethics, safety, privacy, data integrity, and responsible practices.
6. Identify high‑impact AI use cases across product, operations, and customer experience domains.
7. Set KPIs, performance metrics, and ROI frameworks for AI initiatives.
8. Communicate AI vision, outcomes, and value to internal teams, external partners, customers, and industry forums.
9. Build and manage budgets, vendor relationships, and cross‑functional programs at enterprise scale.
**Required Skills**
* Proven track record of delivering production AI projects with measurable business impact.
* Deep expertise in modern AI techniques: deep learning, large‑language models, generative AI, reinforcement learning, NLP, and applied machine learning.
* Experience in scalable AI architecture, model deployment, orchestration, and monitoring.
* Strong leadership and team‑building capabilities; able to influence senior executives.
* Comprehensive knowledge of AI governance, explainability, fairness, risk assessment, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent communication skills—capable of presenting complex AI concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Budgeting, vendor management, and cross‑functional program execution at enterprise level.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Advanced degree (M.S./Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
* Professional certifications such as Certified AI Professional (CAIP), AWS Certified Machine Learning, or equivalent are preferred.
