Job Description
**Job Title:** Project Engineer Summer Intern **Role Summary:** Support the execution of geotechnical and civil construction projects by assisting with field and office activities, ensuring compliance with budget, schedule, specifications, and safety standards. **Expectations:** - Uphold company safety policies and document compliance. - Travel to project sites for extended periods as needed. - Maintain accurate project records and reports. - Collaborate with Project Managers, subcontractors, and internal teams. **Key Responsibilities:** *Field Tasks* - Prepare and submit project submittals. - Maintain project documentation and daily construction reports. - Review contract plans/specifications for technical accuracy. - Perform site surveying (conventional and GPS) and quality‑control oversight. - Assist with subcontractor coordination and equipment/material procurement. - Support daily cost reporting and tracking. *Office Tasks* - Contribute to cost estimates, proposals, and material take‑offs. - Analyze remediation methodologies of prior projects. - Perform administrative duties and special projects as assigned. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). - Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles (soil mechanics, hydraulics, structural theory). - Strong communication, problem‑solving, and risk‑assessment abilities. - Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. - Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle for company business. *Preferred Skills* (not mandatory) - AutoCAD Civil 3D, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project. - Experience with USACE QCS system, site surveying, cost estimating, and materials procurement. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. - Eligibility to work in the United States. - Valid driver’s license.
