Business Data Analyst (H/F/X)
**Role Summary**
Provide data‑driven reporting and interactive dashboards for the energy distribution network, acting as the single point of contact for business, operational, and regulatory reporting needs. Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT analysts to translate requirements into precise specifications, prototype business rules, and deliver visual solutions that support strategic and operational decision making.
**Expectations**
- Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the energy sector or in a comparable data‑analysis role.
- Fluent French or Dutch with proficiency in the second language.
- Proven ability to gather requirements, manage projects using Agile/Scrum, and document solutions for ongoing maintenance.
- Strong analytical mindset, client orientation, and capacity for learning and adaptation.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Gather and analyze reporting requirements from business teams and functional analysts across the organization.
2. Draft and refine business specifications in partnership with analysts.
3. Support functional analysis with IT analysts, ensuring technical feasibility.
4. Prototype and validate business rules using tools such as SAS Enterprise Guide.
5. Design, develop, and deploy data visualizations and dashboards on a modern data platform, ensuring clarity, relevance, and user‑centric design.
6. Perform functional testing of solutions to confirm quality and alignment with requirements.
7. Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation for end‑user guidance, system maintenance, and future scalability.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
- Experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent) for interactive report creation.
- Knowledge of SAS Enterprise Guide or similar for rule prototyping.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools.
- Strong communication, organization, and stress‑management skills.
- Client‑focused approach, collaborative mindset, and commitment to continuous learning.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, IT, or another relevant discipline.
- No specific certifications required, but certification in data‑visualization tools (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Power BI Certified) or Agile practices (e.g., Scrum Master) is advantageous.
