Job Description
**Job Title:** IT Support Administrator **Role Summary:** Provides on‑site technical support to end‑users, maintains hardware and software assets, and ensures the stability and security of the organization’s IT environment. Acts as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting, incident resolution, and service requests while contributing to continuous improvement of support processes. **Expectations:** - Deliver prompt, professional assistance and resolve incidents within agreed service levels. - Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and support activities. - Collaborate with other IT teams to implement upgrades, patches, and projects. - Uphold security policies and data protection standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide first‑ and second‑line support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals. - Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues. - Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and security patches. - Manage user accounts, access rights, and email/mailbox administration. - Log, track, and close tickets using a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira). - Perform routine system monitoring, backups, and basic disaster‑recovery tasks. - Assist with asset inventory, procurement, and lifecycle management. - Produce and maintain support documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures. **Required Skills:** - Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities. - Proficiency with Windows (10/11) and macOS operating systems; familiarity with Linux is a plus. - Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VPN, Wi‑Fi, and basic switch/router configuration. - Experience with common business applications (Microsoft 365, Office, browsers). - Competence in using ticketing/ITSM tools and remote support utilities. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum: Associate degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
