Job title: IT System Administrator
Role Summary: Provide comprehensive on‑premises and cloud infrastructure support, manage Microsoft 365/AzureAD environments, maintain cybersecurity controls, and coordinate with leadership on disaster recovery and IT budgeting.
Expectations: Manage daily IT operations, ensure high availability of cloud servers, secure all endpoints, maintain compliance (Cyber Essentials Plus), and document all configurations and incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and resolve internal hardware, software, network, and account issues.
• Provision, configure, and document new cloud servers for Tricorn Cloud customers.
• Monitor and update existing cloud servers for security and performance.
• Manage data backups and conduct regular restoration tests.
• Administer Microsoft 365 tenant, security policies, and licensing.
• Ensure Cyber Essentials Plus compliance and oversee renewal process.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls (firewalls, antivirus, MFA, endpoint management).
• Manage DNS, SSL certificates, and domain settings.
• Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software licenses, and warranties.
• Handle user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews.
• Keep system configurations, procedures, and incident records current.
• Collaborate with CTO on disaster recovery planning and incident response.
• Assist CTO with IT spend tracking and cost planning.
Required Skills:
• Prior experience as IT Manager, Senior IT Support, or Systems Administrator.
• Strong proficiency in Windows environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and user management.
• Hands‑on management of Microsoft 365 / Azure AD.
• Knowledge of cloud server administration (AWS, Azure, or equivalent).
• Practical network setup skills (switches, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs).
• Solid grasp of cybersecurity best practices (MFA, patching, endpoint security, SIEM).
• Experience with backup and recovery processes.
• Ability to clearly document systems and procedures.
• Independent problem‑solving aptitude.
• Experience maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus or similar frameworks (desired).
• Exposure to ISO 27001 practices (desired).
• Familiarity with remote monitoring and management tools such as CrowdStrike (desired).
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Microsoft or cloud‑specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) preferred, but not mandatory.
