Job Description
**Job Title:** VP of Finance (Software) **Role Summary:** Strategic finance leader responsible for driving financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance for a global 3D engineering software division. Provides insights to senior management, ensures GAAP and SOX compliance, and leads a multinational finance team. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate financial statements and forecasts aligned with corporate goals. - Communicate financial performance and risks to executives. - Maintain strict GAAP, ASC 606, and SOX control compliance. - Lead and develop a high‑performing global finance organization. - Support sales and business negotiations with sound financial guidance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee division’s financial reporting, revenue and deferred revenue recognition. - Develop and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts. - Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations. - Ensure purchasing and hiring decisions follow company policies. - Partner with sales to align contract terms with revenue recognition rules. - Lead negotiations with customers, vendors, and partners as required. - Produce management reports to support operational decision‑making. - Implement and maintain CRM/ERP systems and related controls. **Required Skills:** - Advanced financial analysis and strategic thinking. - Strong executive‑level presentation and communication abilities. - Leadership and team‑development experience. - Expertise in US GAAP, ASC 606, SOX controls, consolidations (domestic & international). - Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems implementation. - Ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. - CPA or MBA preferred. - Minimum 4 years of finance leadership experience in a software business with $50 M+ revenue (Division Controller, Director of Finance, or Finance VP).
