Job Description
**Job Title:** VBA Developer / Excel‑Access Analyst **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain VBA‑based automation solutions within Excel and Access to streamline manual business processes, improve data handling, and generate reports. Serve as a technical liaison to understand user needs, deliver robust tools, provide documentation, and train end‑users. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality, well‑documented VBA code that adheres to best‑practice standards. - Analyze existing workflows, identify automation opportunities, and propose efficient solutions. - Ensure reliable performance, error handling, and long‑term maintainability of all deliverables. - Communicate clearly with business users and provide effective training and support. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct process analyses to capture user requirements and quantify automation benefits. - Develop, test, and optimize VBA macros and programs for data import/export, reconciliation, reporting, and advanced calculations. - Apply coding standards (modularity, error management, inline comments) and create user‑friendly interfaces. - Document technical specifications, maintenance guides, and user manuals. - Train business teams on new tools and promote adoption. - Perform bug fixes, enhancements, and continuous improvement based on user feedback. - Track and report on the status of all automation projects. **Required Skills:** - Strong VBA development experience in Excel and Access (minimum 3 years). - Proficiency with Office 365 environment. - Solid understanding of coding best practices: modular design, error handling, documentation. - Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into automated solutions. - Good communication, autonomy, and teaching/pedagogy skills. - Bonus: Experience with VB.NET and Python. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Associate or Bachelor’s degree (BAC + 2/3) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Minimum 3 years relevant professional experience. No specific certifications required.
