**Job Title:** Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) **Role Summary** Lead and build a technical, hands-on security operations program for a fast-growing startup. Focus on designing, deploying, and optimizing security infrastructure while maintaining strategic leadership. **Expectations** Transition into strategic leadership with sustained technical expertise. Avoid pure governance roles; prioritize operational and technical execution over delegation. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and manage security operations infrastructure, including endpoint protection, SIEM, and cloud security tools. - Optimize security monitoring, incident response, and threat detection. - Drive automation to reduce manual inefficiencies in workflows. - Lead compliance with FedRAMP, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 frameworks. - Develop security policies, conduct risk assessments, and remediation programs. - Secure cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and integrate security into DevOps/CI/CD pipelines. - Collaborate with engineering teams on secure software development and architecture reviews. - Communicate technical initiatives to leadership and stakeholders. **Required Skills** - 7+ years in security operations with hands-on experience in cloud security (AWS, GCP, Azure). - Expertise in deploying enterprise security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, SIEM). - Proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline integration, and security automation. - Proven track record in achieving SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP compliance. - Experience in security risk assessments, threat modeling, and incident response. - Strong communication to convey technical concepts to stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field. - Advanced certifications (CISSP, CISA, GCIH, etc.) preferred. - Demonstrated mastery of FedRAMP, SOC 2, and cloud security frameworks.
