Job Description

Job Title: Platform Engineer Role Summary: Design, build, and optimize the infrastructure that supports a 24/7 web‑data and trading platform operating across multiple cloud regions. Focus on low‑latency, high‑throughput performance, leveraging Linux, networking, and modern tooling. Expectations: - Mastery of Linux system administration and networking. - Proficiency in AWS cloud architecture (multi‑cloud exposure a plus). - Strong scripting in Python and Bash. - Experience debugging and tuning distributed, real‑time systems. - Ability to automate infrastructure and reduce end‑to‑end latency. Key Responsibilities: - Own and continuously improve the platform’s infrastructure. - Tune Linux network stacks and system parameters for minimal latency. - Automate provisioning, deployment, and monitoring using Terraform, Kubernetes, and Prometheus. - Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance reliability and scalability. - Drive adoption of best practices and modern tooling across the organization. Required Skills: - Linux kernel and networking fundamentals. - AWS (EC2, VPC, ELB, CloudWatch) and experience with multi‑cloud environments. - Python and Bash scripting for automation and diagnostics. - Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana). - Performance tuning, low‑latency optimization, and distributed system debugging. - Familiarity with high‑frequency trading or large‑scale data pipelines preferred. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certification. - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar is advantageous.
