**Job Title:** Production IT Specialist / Systems Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Provide round‑clock IT support for a high‑volume media production pipeline, acting as the primary contact for production teams. Maintain and administer core infrastructure (AD, VM, render farms, storage, networking), manage user accounts, licenses, and security, and drive automation to improve efficiency across multiple studio locations.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver timely technical solutions and proactive enhancements for production workflows.
- Communicate clearly with producers, coordinators, artists, managers, finance, and IT leadership.
- Manage purchases, receipts, and budgeting for hardware, software, and consumables.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Production Support & Communication:** Sidebar first point of contact; coordinate maintenance; collaborate with production managers on pipeline reliability.
- **Core Systems Administration:** Provision and revoke user accounts, passwords, 2‑FA, SSO; administer Active Directory, VM environments, render farm servers, and storage (NAS/SMB/NFS).
- **Networking:** Maintain LAN, Wi‑Fi, and internal networks at all studio sites.
- **Purchasing & Procurement:** Quote, buy, and track IT consumables, cables, and software licences; upload receipts.
- **Pipeline & Project Management:** Monitor Deadline render queues; identify bottlenecks; set up data synchronization jobs; ensure project finalisation, finals library archiving, and near‑line storage workflows.
- **Workstation & Software Management:** Oversee MDM, software deployment, macOS/Windows security updates, hardware evaluation, and licensing lifecycle.
- **Security & Automation:** Deploy and patch security tools; assist with audits; train users on security practices; develop automation scripts/tools to reduce manual tasks.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficient with MacOS and Windows operating systems.
- Experience managing NAS storage, SMB/NFS shares, ACLs; Windows/Linux CLI; Active Directory.
- Strong knowledge of rendering pipeline tools (Deadline) and storage architecture.
- Familiarity with MDM, software licensing, and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and project coordination skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or relevant Linux/VMware credentials are preferred.
