Lead Product Manager – Subscriptions
**Role Summary**
Senior product leader responsible for the global strategy, vision and roadmap of membership/subscription plans. Owns the end‑to‑end subscription lifecycle, from market‑based tier design and pricing to seamless sign‑up, upgrade, renewal and cancellation flows. Drives cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Design, Data, Billing, Payments, Marketing, Finance, Legal) to deliver data‑driven, customer‑first subscription experiences that increase retention and recurring revenue.
**Expectations**
- 9+ total years in product roles, 6+ years leading subscription‑oriented or product‑led growth initiatives.
- Proven track record of launching and scaling subscription products globally.
- Strong analytical, commercial and KPI‑driven mindset; adept at setting OKRs, measuring ARR impact and prioritising backlog.
- Exceptional communication and influence skills; able to synthesize user insights, business strategy and technical constraints.
- Ability to mentor and grow junior product talent within a scaling team.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Own strategy, vision and phased roadmap for the global Membership Plans portfolio.
2. Define and evolve tier structures, benefits, pricing models and policy frameworks that align with member needs and market dynamics.
3. Lead product discovery, validation and launch of new subscription features and optimisations, ensuring measurable impact on retention and LTV.
4. Partner with Billing, Payments, Finance and Legal to design transparent, scalable lifecycle flows and pricing algorithms.
5. Collaborate with Engineering, Design and Data teams to execute prioritized backlog, maintain high QoS and UX standards.
6. Track and report on subscription KPIs (ARPU, churn, renewal rates, NPS) and iteratively refine product strategy.
7. Champion a customer‑centric culture; incorporate quantitative and qualitative feedback into product decisions.
8. Coach and mentor product managers to build capability and performance within the Growth/Product team.
**Required Skills**
- End‑to‑end product management, from concept to launch.
- Deep understanding of subscription economics, pricing, revenue modelling and legal compliance.
- Data‑analysis proficiency; ability to set KPIs, run cohort analyses and derive insights.
- Agile project management and backlog prioritisation.
- Cross‑functional stakeholder management and influence at senior/executive level.
- Strong UX/Design collaboration skills; ability to translate user needs into solution designs.
- Strategic thinking and execution focus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science or related field.
- Product Management certification (e.g., Certified Product Manager, Pragmatic Marketing, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- PMP or Agile‑Scrum certifications may be advantageous.
