Job Description
Job Title: Summer Intern – Legal (2026) Role Summary: Provide support to senior lawyers in one of five practice areas (Banking & Finance, Direct Tax, Dispute Resolution, Employment, or Immovable Property/Public Law) during a 1‑month paid internship. Assist in legal research, drafting, client communication, and case preparation under close supervision. Expectations: - Demonstrate proactive, results‑oriented work ethic. - Communicate clearly with colleagues and clients. - Collaborate effectively as a team player. - Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. - Be available for at least one of the summer months (July, August, or September 2026). Key Responsibilities: - Conduct legal research and analysis. - Draft pleadings, correspondence, and internal memos. - Prepare case summaries and client updates. - Organize and maintain case files and documents. - Attend client meetings and internal briefings as needed. - Support the team with administrative and procedural tasks. Required Skills: - Master’s degree in Belgian Law or equivalent. - Excellent command of Dutch or French; fluent English; basic proficiency in the other Belgian language. - Strong analytical, research, and writing abilities. - Effective verbal and written communication. - Team‑oriented, collaborative mindset. - Self‑motivated, disciplined, and results‑focused. - Adaptable to a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Required Education & Certifications: - Master’s degree in Belgian Law with an excellent academic record. - No additional certifications required; extracurricular legal or related experience is a plus.
