Job Description
**Job Title:** Cybersecurity Specialist IAT III – Advanced **Role Summary:** A senior‑level cybersecurity professional responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities in DoD information systems, managing the IAVM program, overseeing incident response, and ensuring compliance with DoD cyber directives. Provides technical guidance, develops executive briefings, and translates customer requirements into actionable project plans. **Expectations:** - Maintain an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. - Achieve IAT III certification and tool‑specific certifications within six months of hire. - Deliver timely remediation of identified risks and ensure continuous compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies. - Produce clear, executive‑level communications on cybersecurity posture and project status. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct vulnerability assessments using automated scanners and manual techniques; coordinate remediation activities. - Manage the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program for timely risk remediation. - Lead the 2‑letter Incident Response Program: draft policies, conduct annual training, and respond to incidents. - Monitor and implement Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs) and other DODIN directives. - Develop, review, and edit Statements of Work (SOWs) for cybersecurity and IT initiatives. - Translate customer requirements into detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones. - Perform quality control and assurance throughout the project lifecycle. - Create and deliver executive briefings on complex cyber issues and project updates. **Required Skills:** - Vulnerability assessment (automated tools & manual methods) - IAVM program management - Incident response policy development & training - Interpretation of DoD cyber directives (CTOs, DODIN) - SOW creation and project planning - Executive communication and briefing preparation - Technical review of software, cloud, firewalls, network defense, ports, protocols, services, and DevSecOps (preferred) - Proficiency with McAfee Endpoint Security, ACAS, Splunk, or similar security toolsets; ability to prioritize corrective actions **Required Education & Certifications:** - Master’s degree in a STEM or cyber‑related field **or** Bachelor’s degree with ≥8 years DoD cyber technical experience in large/complex programs. - IAT III certification (must be held prior to start). - Technical certification or ≥3 years experience with McAfee Endpoint Security, ACAS, Splunk, or comparable security tools; certification in required tools within 6 months of hire. - Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; U.S. citizenship required.
