Job Description
**Job Title** Security Specialist **Role Summary** Safeguard facilities, data, and intellectual property through risk assessments, security protocols, surveillance, incident response, compliance, and employee training. **Expectations** - Operate 2nd shift security duties with reliability and punctuality. - Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including medical emergency response. - Mentor and supervise up to 12 contract security officers. **Key Responsibilities** - Conduct threat assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement robust security measures. - Monitor access control systems, issue badges, and enforce badge policies. - Perform foot patrols, inspections, and maintain detailed logs. - Respond to alarms, emergencies, and environmental incidents following established protocols. - Oversee surveillance systems; detect and report suspicious activity. - Lead incident investigations, collect statements, and prepare incident reports. - Develop and revise security policies and standard operating procedures. - Provide security training and awareness programs to staff, visitors, and vendors. - Manage alarm system operations (activation/deactivation). - Maintain compliance with PCI, cGMP, and GCP regulations. - Mentor, train, and supervise contract security staff; manage performance. **Required Skills** - Strong investigative and analytical abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Interviewing and statement collection proficiency. - De‑escalation training delivery. - Intermediate computer skills; familiarity with security and surveillance software. - Ability to maintain situational awareness and quick decision‑making. **Required Education & Certifications** - Associate’s degree in security, criminal justice, or related field (preferred). - 3–5 years of security operations, investigations, or law enforcement experience. - Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, or equivalent background. - Valid driver’s license. ---
