Job Description

Job title: Analytics Engineer Role Summary: Independent analytics engineer responsible for owning and scaling the data warehouse, data pipelines, and visualization stack to enable data-driven decision making across the organization. Expectations: - Own end‑to‑end data projects, from ingestion and modeling to dashboard delivery, ensuring high data quality, maintainability, and accessibility. - Collaborate with business stakeholders (coaches, product, finance) to define KPIs, build performance dashboards, and embed data usage in decision processes. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary point of contact for all data initiatives. - Manage and evolve the data warehouse and ETL/ELT processes (BigQuery, DBT). - Refactor, unit‑test, and maintain DBT models to improve reliability and reusability. - Design and maintain dashboards and KPI tracking tools (e.g., Metabase). - Implement data quality controls, monitoring, and reporting dashboards. - Work with teams to standardize data structures and make data easily consumable. - Provide guidance and support for data‑driven use cases across business functions. Required Skills: - 5+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines. - Proficient in SQL and BigQuery (or equivalent cloud data warehouse). - Hands‑on experience with ELT/ETL workflows and DBT (data build tool). - Strong Git version control skills and collaborative workflow practices. - Experience with data visualization tools (Metabase preferred, Power BI, Tableau, etc.). - Ability to translate business requirements into clean, automated data solutions. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Certifications in SQL, BigQuery, DBT, or relevant data engineering tools are a plus.
